The accused were on their way to national capital for supplying huge consignment of arms and ammunition.During interrogation Akbar disclosed that one of their Delhi contacts Akram was supposed to come at the spot to receive the delivery of consignment. After about 10 minutes when he was about to move police team swooped in to nab him. On finding himself cornered, accused whipped out his pistol and threatened to open fire. Azam Saifi(52), and Akbar(2 , both residents of Meerut, U.315 bore and manufacturing tools used in manufacturing illegal weapons have been recovered from their possession. 

During sustained interrogation, he disclosed that he has been involved in this illegal arms supplying for last about five years. From bag pack 24 pistols wrapped in cloth sheets were recovered.P. He revealed his identity as Akbar.
